This test is utilized to diagnose or sometimes, rule out, many neurological disorders of the nervous system. It is often thought of synonymously with "EMG" because the tests are usually performed together.

Carpal Tunnel Injections

Generally, patients can have relief from carpal tunnel syndrome pain with conservative measures, such as wrist splinting. In some instances, when patients do not experience relief with splinting, a carpal tunnel injection can be helpful. This is a quick, in-office procedure that, in some instances, can be very relieving for carpal tunnel syndrome pain.

We see patients in the hospital setting too!  We sincerely hope that you will never require a hospital admission for a neurologic illness. However, in the case of such an event, you will be in the capable hands of the most skilled physicians and staff at the highly regarded Stillwater Medical Center. It is helpful in the diagnosis of many disorders of the nervous system, neuromuscular junction, and muscle. It is often thought of synonymously with "nerve conduction study" because the tests are usually performed together.

EEG

EEG stands for electroencephalogram. This test allows us to monitor the activity of your brain waves. It is highly useful in the diagnosis of seizures and epilepsy but also has many other clinical applications. We are lucky to have a Stillwater native, Jennifer Steele, as our EEG technologist.
